Our Story
Cleveland Research Company is an independent investment research firm headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio. The firm opened its doors with a staff of approximately 40 that were formerly employed with a leading institutional equity research firm, including eight analysts who have been ranked by Institutional Investor Magazine in its Independent/Regional All-American Research Analyst survey.
Cleveland Research Company was formed by two founders of the original Midwest Research, Eric Bosshard and Chris Byke, along with 27 partners who led that firm to the #1 Regional Research provider ranking for three consecutive years (2004-2006).
We have a very unique business model that is constructed with a singular focus: producing the highest quality investment research in the market.
Who uses our Research?
We provide insight and detailed analysis into the largest companies and sectors across five primary industries, including consumer, healthcare, industrial, agriculture, and technology. We have two customer groups who use this research: institutional investors (equity research) and companies with businesses up and down the supply chain in the industries we follow (market research). Financial institutions use our information to help allocate and optimize investment decisions, while companies in the marketplace can leverage our intelligence to align with strategic and tactical business decisions. If you would like more detailed information about what it is we do, click on the Equity Research or Market Research tabs.
What Makes Us Different?
Our efforts and experience in sell-side research over the past 15+ years have led us to build what we believe is a very unique business model for our clients. Our discipline includes establishing multiple relationships throughout the channel. We are talking to suppliers and customers, developing contacts, and conducting surveys day after day, month after month allowing us to spot trends and inflection points in the end markets we cover.
Cleveland Research Company is a truly independent firm owned by its founders and employees. We know our research provides our customers with the insights needed to gain conviction behind investment decisions. We are committed to a singular focus on research, with no need to seek additional revenue via investment banking or trading.
Our product is proprietary, as it is only distributed to 150 firms. Our business is focused on delivering a differentiated product coupled with an exceedingly high level of service to a select customer list.
Which Sectors Do We Cover?
Our research effort is focused on five sectors and includes more than 150 stocks where we believe we have the greatest level of insight: Consumer, Health Care, Industrial, Agriculture and Technology.
